Karen H asked: I am making a career change, from law to fitness. Fitness has been a lifelong passion of mine. As a kid, I skied (and taught skiing), danced (and taught dance), and ran. As an adult, I go to the gym 5 times a week; I do cardio, lift weights, go to classes, swim. I worked at a Y for a while, directing a youth fitness program (unfortunately the Y doesn’t pay well enough). I have some Y certifications, and a BA that is totally unrelated to fitness (in economics), so I’m basically starting out from scratch. I don’t know exactly what kind of career in fitness I might like to pursue… what are the options? I am looking for any and all starter tips. Classes, certifications, books, DVDs, websites/forums… anything to get my new career path started. Also, feel free to email me if you have lots of advice or if you think you can help/mentor. Thanks!

pinkpanthergrrrrr asked: I drink propel fitness water when I work out and other then that I only drink straight water the rest of the time. I occasionally have a mountain dew or alcoholic beverages. But in terms of all the flavored water drinks out there(lifewater, vitamin water, etc) and the green teas(too many brands to list), which one of them are healthy to drink? Or should I just stick with plain water.

Natt asked: I’m looking to become a certified fitness instructor (group fitness/aerobics/steb/kickboxing). I know a few people who have gone different routes for their certification and wondered if anyone knew which company/association was the best to go through. I’m looking for a not-super-expensive one that is recognizable.

Mishelle D asked: I run/jog most days of the week, but recently felt like a change and saw this as a way of adding some variety to my fitness routine.
Approximately how many minutes a day should I start off with? I tried to do it continuously for about 10, but found I cold only manage 5 - it is so strenuous, but also fun!!
